from site: The slag crater Kerid is the northernmost one of the crater row called Tjarnarholar. It is elliptic in shape, 270 m long, 170 m wide, and 55 m deep. The pond in it is 7-10 m deep, depending on the ground water level of the area

from site: This is a 55 m deep explosion crater Kerid that harbours a small green lake in the Grímsnes region. It is now filled with water, creating a lake whose steep circular slopes resemble an ancient amphitheatre. The crater is nearly 3000 years old, and is a part of a group of volcanic hills called Tjarnarhólar. It is a popular sight to visit for tourists, often displaying intense colors.

from site: Kerid in Grímsnes is a popular spot for tourists. Kerid was made in a volcanic eruption about 5000-6000 years ago, it is 270m long and 170m wide. The crater is 55m deep and on it's bottom is a pond, the depth of the water, depending on the height of ground water, is around 7-14m deep.
